Support the Good Folk

I'm not a "folkie" by any stretch of the imagination, but I always had a soft spot for the Geordie folk-rock group Lindisfarne. Indulging this soft spot during my far-right days meant overlooking their anti-racist stance and pretending that any references to the same that emerged from their music and interviews meant something different to what it actually said.

Now that I'm free of all that rubbish I don't have to pretend, I can just enjoy.

When browsing through their website the other day I came across a reference to an organisation called Folk Against Fascism, which I must admit I'd never heard of. When I see these things I often fear there is something more overtly political behind them, but this all seems sincere and innocent enough.

Take a look and decide for yourself.
